Robert P. Arndt

Robert (Undy) P. Arndt, 82, of Topton, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Mary E. (Gambler) Arndt. Born in Wanamakers, the son of the late Nevin R.P. and Dorothy (Hemmerly) Arndt. Robert attended Kutztown High School class of 1957. He worked for Caloric and later became an International Union Representative for the IMAWU and retired after 30 years. Robert enjoyed his street rod, hunting, weekly trips to PA and NJ Legions, and running for parts for the Kreitz Oval Track Parts in his retirement. Well known for his jokes and stories, he always had people laughing and in tears. Undy was a caring and giving person, always helping others, but most of all he enjoyed his family. In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by son Scott A. (Louise); grandchildren Brett (Kasey Jo), Jesse (Jamie); great grandchildren, Brent, Courtny, Delaney and Kanaan; sister Arlene (Royce Haag); many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Robert V. and brother Nevin R. Jr.  As per his request a Celebration of Life will be held this summer. Arrangements entrusted to the Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home Inc. Kutztown. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Whitehouse American Legion at 1 Ridge Road Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
