Ray C. Fulton Jr., 75, of Kutztown, passed away October 18, 2018 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Sheila A. (Dunkelberger) Fulton and son of the late Ray C. (Mac) Fulton and Fern L (Moser) Fulton. Ray graduated from Kutztown High School in 1960, spent 4 years in the Air Force and attended Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was employed by Met-Ed/GPU. He started as a line man and became the Customer Service Supervisor – Topton Customer Service Center, he also went on to several other positions and finished his career as Business Process Consultant-IT/Services retiring December 2003. Ray belonged to the Lions Club for 40 yrs, during that time he received the Bing Miller Fellow award, the Melvin Jones Fellow award. He was also a Past President of the Kutztown Lions Club holding various offices. During 96-97 he was District 14P’s secretary/ treasurer. He belonged to Huguenot Lodge #377 and Moselem Springs Golf Club’s Old Goats. Before his cancer diagnosis he traveled to Ireland twice, spent Januarys in Florida and Marches in the Carolinas with his wife. He also traveled to Arizona & Delaware. Ray loved golf, hunting, reading, and Family.
He is survived by his wife Sheila, daughter Paige, wife of Jack Persky, and grandsons Maxwell Persky and Conor Persky, his sister, Jeena Dee Gernert and husband Bruce, Brother in law Glenn Dunkelberger and wife Pamela, nephew Matthew Gernert, Nieces Lisa Beth Buczewski, Amy Galvez, Adrea Guaglione, Cousin Kerry Frey and wife Dorothy.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, Pa. 19605 and or Kutztown Area Historical Society, Box 307, Kutztown Pa. 19530. Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home Inc. in charge of arrangements.
