Ralph E. Wagaman, 88, formerly of Kutztown and Sebring, Florida, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, of natural causes in his Keystone Villa, Blandon residence. He was the husband of the late Margaret H. (Wehr) Wagaman who died in 2001. Born in Kempton, he was the son of the late Earl W. & Pearl O. (Merkel) Wagaman. Ralph was a 1942 Graduate of Kutztown High School. He was a structural engineer retiring from Gilbert Associates. Ralph was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Kutztown, where he had served on church council; was the past President of the Kutztown Lions Club; served on the Kutztown Planning Commission; was a member of the Smoothies Dance Club; was a member of Huguenot Lodge #377 F&AM, Kutztown; and served in the US Marine Corps as a Corporal during WWII being stationed in the Pacific theatre. He is survived by his children: Terry R., husband of Debra Wagaman, Sinking Spring, Troy M., husband of Janice Wagaman, Kutztown, Sharon A. Larsen, companion of Robert Heffner, Fleetwood, Rosemary, wife of Fred Blanch, Trabuco Canyon, CA, and Laurie, wife of Michael Sterner, Fleetwood; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Wagaman. He is also survived by a long time friend, Dorothy Bechtel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 11 AM from St. Paul’s UCC, 47 S. Whiteoak St., Kutztown, PA 19530. Burial will follow in Friedens Cemetery, Stony Run. Friends may call from 9:45 am until 10:45am with a Masonic Service starting at 10:45 AM at the church.
