Peter S. Huber, 78, of Kutztown, Pa, died in his home October 22, 2023.
He was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Harvey Huber and Kathryn Shockey (Huber). Peter (Pete) acquired Bachelors and Masters degrees that led him to a career in educational counseling where he was able to support many young adults through difficult times.
Caring for others in times of need was a common thread throughout his life no matter where he was or who he was with. While it may seem juxtaposed, Pete spent much of his life as an entrepreneur in the motorcycle t-shirt circuit, which led him to a lifetime of travel and his super power was making friends everywhere he went. There aren’t many towns in this country you can go where someone doesn’t say “Oh, yeah I know Pete!”. He had an unbridled energy and passion for life. His favorite saying was “If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much room.”
One of the biggest joys in his life was being there for the birth of his grandchildren, spending time with them and watching them learn and grow over the years.
Peter was preceded in death by Harvey, father; Kathryn, mother; and is survived by, daughter, Elizabeth/Lucas, grandchildren, Emma and Max, siblings, Tim/Barb, Steve/Laura, Ann/David, as well as many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pete will be missed dearly by all, and would wish for everyone to relish in the good memories we all have of him throughout his time with us.
Private services, to celebrate Peter’s life, will be held at the convenience of the family.
