Joan M. Wentzel 75 of Keystone Villa, Blandon died February 23 in St. Joseph Medical Center.
Mrs. Wentzel formerly lived in Kutztown and was the widow of David F. Ely who died
in 1965 and Jay A. Wentzel who died in 2008.
She was born in Greenwich Township and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mildred (Kunkel) Baver.
Joan was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Kutztown, and had been employed at Burger King for 8 years.
She is survived by sons Michael D. Ely and wife Vicki, Sinking Spring; Jeffrey G. Ely and wife Rayma, Missouri;
Gregory S. Ely and wife Bridget, North Carolina; Jason G. Wentzel and wife Sherry, Kutztown;
daughters Lisa J. wife of Richard Dietrich, Kutztown; Julie M. Wentzel, Reading; 9 grandchildren,
7 great grandchildren; sisters Florabelle Miller , Krumsville; Virginia Dietrich, Kutztown.
Memorial services Friday at 11 AM in the Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home, Inc,. 346 W. Main St., Kutztown.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown.
Visitation with the family 10 AM to time of service.
