Jacqueline D. Jack, 86, died June 3, 2017, at the Kutztown Manor. She was the widow of William E. Jack, who died in 2015. They were married for 60 years. Jackie was born in New Philadelphia, Schuylkill County, and was the daughter of the late John J. Darrow and Grizzina (nee’ Kandratavich) Daroshefski. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and Penn State University earning a BS in Bacteriology. She worked for E.I. Dupont for 6 ½ years as a bacteriologist. Jackie was a member of St. Mary’s RCC, Kutztown, and was the organist at the church for 26 years until the church moved to its new location. She was a member of the Kutztown Women’s Club and was Secretary for two years and Chairman of the Gerontology committee and the telephone committee. She was an avid bridge player and gardener. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Jackie is survived by her children Curtis A., husband of Donna, Mertztown, Scott W., husband of Jan, Blandon, Kimberly A. Jack, Flanders, NJ, Stacia M., wife of Larry Edwards, Madison, NJ; grandchildren Donovon, Connor, Casey and Delaney Jack, Seth and Jordan Jack, Evan and Jade Jack-Garcia, Kelly and Troy Edwards; sister, Joy Hemenway, Sun City West, AZ. A viewing will be held June 9, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 PM, with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM at the Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home, Inc., 346 W. Main St., Kutztown. A Memorial Mass will be held June 26, 2017, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s RCC, 14833 Kutztown Rd., Kutztown, PA 19530. Inurnment will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to her church at the above address.
