Henry Neal Zimmerman 76, passed away June 17th in the Lutheran Home at Topton.
He was the husband of Mary Lou (Derr) Zimmerman with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Neal was born in Kutztown a son of the late Henry A. and Marie A. (Ziegler) Zimmerman.
He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Kutztown and was a graduate of Kutztown High
School class of 1955, a graduate of Kutztown state Teachers College and Clarkson College, New York State.
He was a member of the Army Reserves, and was employed as a engineer at Western Electric and Bell Telephone
until retiring in 1990.
Neal is survived by his wife Mary Lou, daughter Michele wife of Todd Mertz, Kutztown, sons Michael husband of
Joanie, Meadville, Pa., Dean husband of Taren, New Tripoli, Gregory husband of Angel, Leesport, ten grandchildren,
sister Sandra wife of George Leiby, Kutztown.
A memorial service will be Monday June 23 at 6 P.M. in St. John’s UCC, 257 W. Walnut Street, Kutztown.
Inurnment is private.
