Helen C. (Boyd) Hansen

Helen C. (Boyd) Hansen, 85, of Kutztown passed away Thursday September 29, 2022. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Hansen. Born in Belleville, New Jersey she was the daughter of the late John D. and Grace F. (Cadiz) Boyd. She was a 1955 graduate of Belleville High School and was a member of the New Jersey Civil Air Patrol. Helen moved to Kutztown, Pennsylvania in 1965 where she was an active member of the Women’s Club. Helen also enjoyed working with the Kutztown High School musicals doing costuming. Helen retired from Barnes & Noble in 2011. Helen is survived by her daughter Debra K. (Hansen) Solivan, wife of David D. Solivan of Blandon, PA; son Eric G. Hansen, husband of Susan (Andrulevich) Hansen of Fleetwood, PA; son Steven B. Hansen, husband of Lore (Dursina) Hansen of Schaefferstown, PA; and daughter Amy E. (Hansen) Petersen, wife of John Petersen of Fleetwood, PA. Helen is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Kristyn Hughes, Erica Miller, Katelyn Gruber, Hannah Solivan, Jonathan Solivan, and Adam Petersen, and 9 great grandchildren. Helen’s family was everything to her, and her loving presence will be missed. The family will be scheduling a celebration of life for Helen at a later date.
