Helen M. Carr, 95, of Kutztown, died October 4, 2015, in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of the late Douglas F. Carr. Born in Kutztown, a daughter of the late J. LeRoy & Mabel (Schade) Schwoyer. A member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Kutztown, she attended West Chester State Teachers College, majoring in Music. She was the organist, for 25 years, for the East Penn Chapter #336, Order of the Eastern Star, Kutztown. Music was her greatest passion. She and her husband lived in SanDiego while he was in the service. She is survived by a daughter, Pamela D., wife of David C. Schappell, Bowers, a son, Bruce D. Carr, Kutztown, a grand-daughter, Kim, wife of Steve Keith, Hamburg, and a great-granddaughter, Josie Keith. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 9, 2015, at 11 AM, from St. John’s Lutheran Church, 201 E. Main St., Kutztown, PA 19530. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown.
