Helen M. Barrell 93, of Kutztown passed away August 21, in the Reading Hospital.
She was the widow of Elmer A. Barrell who died in 2005.
Helen was born in Fleetwood , the daughter of the late James D. and Esther E., (Angstadt) Ketner.
She was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Kutztown , where she was a Sunday School teacher for 40 years.
She was a Cub Pack Den mother for years, and was employed at the former Deisher Knitting Mill for 38 years.
Helen had recently resided at Keystone Villa in Blandon. She enjoyed knitting hats for the Red Cross and enjoyed being around small children .
She is survived by a son Rodney D. husband of Gretchen, Kutztown; two grandsons; three great granddaughters;
one step granddaughter; two step grandsons; one pre deceased step granddaughter.
Funeral services Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home, Inc, 346 W. Main Street, Kutztown.
Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday 7 to 8:30 P.M. and Tuesday 10 A. M. to time of service.
