Charles E. Scheirer 85, Kutztown passed away in n his residence April 19th. He was the husband of Marian M.
(Bittner) Scheirer to whom they celebrated 60 years of marriage.
He was born in Egypt, Lehigh County, a son of the late Victor and Mary (Novak) Scheirer.
Charles was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kutztown where he had served on the church council.
His military service included the Army from 1946-1947 in Tokyo, Japan and the Air Force 1947-1952 at
Mitchell Field, New York where he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He was formerly employed by Miers-Bachman Printing and the Kutztown Publishing Company as a
Litho Foreman for 33 years retiring in 1988.
He is survived by wife Marian, sons Jeffrey C. Kutztown, Dr. Robert D. wife Barbara, Martinez,Ga.,
daughter Brenda L. husband Scott Beck, Murphy, Texas, 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin Beck, Matthew,
David, Mary, Robert Scheirer, sister Evelyn Groller, Whitehall Manor.
He was pre-deceased by brothers William, Henry, sisters Dorothy, Helen, and Catherine.
Memorial services Thursday , April 24 at 11:30 A.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 W. Main Street,
Kutztown,with Rev. Keith R. Rohrbach officiating. Visitation with the family 10:30 A.M. to time of service
Interment private.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church.
