Bruce E. Kniss, 76, of Kutztown, passed away May 15, 2013 in the Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Rose M. (Schnee) Kniss.
Born in Topton, he was the son of the late Lincoln & Esta (Heffner) Kniss.
He was employed, for 30 years, by Carpenter Technology, retiring in 1985.
Bruce enjoyed spending time in Gettysburg, and walking in Kutztown with Rose, his wife of 51 years.
He built race engines for the late Freddy Adam, and put together countless puzzles. Most of all, “Pop Pop” loved being with his grandchildren.
Bruce had served in the US Army, and he was a member of the Ray A. Master American Legion Post 217, Topton, and the Kutztown Fire Co.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Dean T., husband of Jane, Kempton; two daughters: Lorraine M., wife of Wade Blose, Lehighton, and Louise E., wife of Rory Schlenker, Lenhartsville; one sister, Marjorie J., wife of George Bryde, Kutztown; four grandchildren also survive.
He was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Kniss in 1957.
Services were private.
The Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home, Inc., Kutztown is in charge of arrangements.
